Autism Assessment
01
What does the assessment involve?
-
The goal of the assessment is to understand how your child engages with the world around them and other people.
-
The first appointment is a parent interview. This takes up to two hours.
-
During the parent interview we will discuss your child's social interactions, communication, sensory experiences, interests, and need for routine/predictability.
-
The second appointment is the child assessment. This can take up to two hours.
-
The child assessment will vary depending on your child's needs but is conducted with a focus on helping your child to feel safe by accommodating their sensory needs and reducing social demands.
-
After the interview you will be provided with questionnaires to complete at home.
-
For children younger than 5, a cognitive assessment will be included in the assessment.

I want to apply for NDIS funding
-
Our reports can be used as part of a multi-disciplinary assessment. You will need an additional report from a Paediatrician, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Pathologist.
-
The NDIS is a complex system and we cannot guarantee that you will receive funding.
03
What ages do you assess?
-
Our autism assessments are only available for children (younger than 18 years old).
-
